Beauregard (Beau) is a 3 year  old basset looking for a new home. Beau came from a family who loved him dearly and he had a young human sister who is just heart broken over having to give him up. But it was a situation that this was their only option. Beau is housebroken and gets along with other dogs. He is shy at first when he meets new people but warms up. He does get car sick on long rides. Dog park and vet trips should be ok, he was about a half hour into his transport when it happened! His owner said he has always been that way. Due to the situation in which he was relinquished we are going to ask his new family to please keep us updated on Beau in the beginning so we can pass on some pics to his little girl. She wrote a wonderful letter to his future owners telling them what Beau likes. Please note due to the lack of dogs lately he will more than likely go to an approved adopter before applications can be processed. If approved please email ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com.
